Driving With a Suspended License

Seweryn W. Szczotarski, 26, of 6528 North Natoma Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 8:33 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, for driving with a suspended license pursuant to a traffic stop in the 800 block of West Highway 22, police reports said.  Szczotarski was charged with failure to signal when required, driving with a suspended driver's license and attempted obstruction of justice, according to police reports.  Szczotarski was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and given a Monday, Dec. 6 court date in a Waukegan.

Gasoline Taken

Someone took $80 worth of fuel from a company vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Rose Road around 12:50 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, police reports said.  This matter is pending further investigation.

Verbal Dispute

Patrick L. McNeil, 28, of 225 Hobblebush Drive, was arrested at 1:06 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of East Main Street after he was involved in a verbal dispute with another individual, police reports said. McNeil was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond and issued a courte date in Waukegan, according to police reports.

Male Spat On

An unidentified male spat on another male at 6:05 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, while the victim was in the 700 block of East Main Street, police reports said.  The victim also said that two subjects with the offender threw food at him during this incident, according to police reports. The offenders left the area prior to the arrival of police.  This matter is pending further investigation. 

Retail Theft

Yasmin N. Hmeidan, 42, of 1146 North Clairmont Drive, Palatine, was arrested  at 5:18 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, for retail theft at Walmart, 820 S. Rand Road, police reports said. Hmeidan attempted to leave the store without paying for various merchandise valued at $294.06 concealed in her purse, according to police reports. Police charged Hmeidan with retail theft.  All the merchandise was recovered.  Hmeidan was released after posting $150 and was issued a Wednesday, Jan. 12, court date in Waukegan.

Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Justin S. Jordan, of 1702 Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, was arrested at 2:08 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis at Route 12 and Honey Lake Road, police reports said. Jordan was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for improper use of registration. A metal pipe and a plastic bag containing five grams of cannabis were found in the vehicle during a consent search and police officers determined that the items belonged to Jordan, according to police reports. Jordan was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis, police reports said.  Jordan was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a court date in Waukegan.

Retail Theft

Radoslaw Nowak, 43, of 471 West Creekwood Drive, Palatine, was arrested at 1:41 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, for retail theft at Walmart, 820 S. Rand Road, police reports said.  Nowak attempted to leave the store without paying for two bottles of cologne valued at $64.20, according to Nowak. Nowak was charged with retail theft and possession of a fictitious driver's license, police reports said. Nowak was released after posting $100 bond and issued a Monday, Dec. 13, court date at with a court date at the Lake County Courthouse.

Vehicle, Garage Door, Siding Damaged

Someone broke the window of a man's vehicle and damaged his garage door and aluminum siding in the 1000 block of Betty Drive around 2:28 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, police reports said.  The cost of the damage is estimated at $500. The matter is pending further investigation. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Someone entered a woman's unlocked vehicle at 4:18 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, while it was parked in the 700 block of S. Rand Road and removed personal property, police reports said. The amount of loss is unknown. This matter is pending further investigation.

Driving Without a Valid License

Maria M. Munoz, 32, of 8340 South Lakewood, Burbank, was arrested 11:55 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, for driving without a valid driver's license on Route 12 and Cuba Road, police reports said.  Munoz was stopped after a random registration check showed the registration for the vehicle she was driving was suspended for safety and financial responsibility, according to police reports. Munoz was charged with no valid driver's license and driving with a suspended registration, police reports said. Munoz was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Wednesday, Dec. 1,  branch court date.

Driving Without a Valid License

Tracie M. Close, 33, 332 South Yale Ave., Addison, was arrested at 12:15 a.m., Monday, Nov. 8,  for driving without a valid driver's license at Route 12 and June Terrace, police reports said. Close was stopped after a random registration check showed the registered owner didn't have a valid driver's license, according to police reports.  Close was charged with no valid driver's license, police reports said. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Wednesday, Dec. 17, branch court date.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

William H. Homer, 54, of 545 Pheasant Ridge Drive, was arrested at 11:58 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, for driving under the influence of alcohol pursuant to a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Old Rand Road, police reports said. Homer failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, according to police reports. Homer was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Monday, Dec. 6, court date in Waukegan.

Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Drug Possession

James R. Williams, 23, of N941 Rose Drive Genoa City, WI, was arrested at 6:22 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, for driving under the influence (DUI) pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Route 12 and Golfview Road, police reports said. Williams was called in as a possible DUI, according to police reports. Williams was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, police reports said.

A passenger in the vehicle, Greg J. Alcorn, 23,  4802 Home Ave., McHenry, was also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, police reports said.
