Police Reports: Public Intoxication; Theft

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

Public Intoxication

 

Susan G. Ziemek, 60, 7 Braemar Ct. Lake Zurich, was charged with public intoxication at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 16, in the 700 block of W. Highway 22.  She was then transported to Good Shepherd Hospital due to the level of intoxication. She is pending a Mundelein court date. 

Driving While License Suspended

 

Lazaro Godinez, 27, 608 N. Cedarwood Circle, Round Lake Heights, was charged at 6:38 p.m., Nov. 16, with driving while license suspended and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released after posting a cash bond, and is pending a Mundelein Branch court date.

 Fred Castro, 33, 96 Cornerstone Dr., Volo, was charged with driving while license suspended at 8:34 p.m., Nov. 18, on Route 12 at Miller Road. He was issued a court date of Dec. 17 in Waukegan, and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

Theft

Two unknown offenders removed copper and aluminum at 1:34 p.m., Nov. 18, in the 1200 block of Ensell Road. A witness saw a female and male drive into a parking lot there and load up material. The witness did provide photographic evidence. The matter is under investigation.

 

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

An unknown offender entered an unlocked vehicle at 8:18 p.m., Nov. 17, in the 1200 block of Thorndale, and removed sunglasses. The loss if valued at $190. The matter is under investigation.

 

Criminal Trespass to Motor Vehicle

An unknown offender entered an unlocked vehicle at 12:15 p.m., Nov. 18, parked in the 1000 block of Partridge Lane. Nothing was taken. The matter is under investigation.

We've been working with the police to make sure people know where they can park if the Pualus lot is full, and we're getting some signs to direct people to the alternate parking. Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad.
