Policy say the man grabbed a 3-year-old girl from the entrance of 555 Deepwoods Drive in Mundelein around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The Mundelein Police Department has released a sketch of a suspect who is accused of abducting a girl and then returning her a short time later on Monday, Sept. 30.

Policy say the man grabbed a 3-year-old girl from the entrance of 555 Deepwoods Drive in Mundelein around 5:30 p.m., according to the Mundelein Police Department.

The girl was with her older sister and her mother at the time of the abduction and the sketch was based on information provided to police by her older sister, according to the Daily Herald.

The girl was returned to the area a short time later. The man had been seen earlier in the day handing out candy to children in the area and was reported to be in the area the day before as well, according to Mundelein police.

Police described the man as being Hispanic, possibly between the ages of 20 and 30, with short, curly hair and a goatee. He was driving a compact car with aftermarket wheels, possibly a navy blue or black, four-door 2006-08 Hyundai Accent.

Anyone with information should call the Mundelein Police Department at 847-968-4600.
