Police Blotter: Vehicles Damaged; Traffic Arrests

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Dec. 22-25.

DUI

A R. Fallahi, 18, of 107 Landcaster Place, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence Dec. 24 near Routes 12 and 22. Fallahi also was cited with speeding and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Fallahi was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 23 court date.

Drugs

Rebecca L. Holmes, 18, of 676 Marine Drive, Wauconda, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis Dec. 22 near Route 12 and Miller Road. She also was cited with no taillights when required, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 20 court date.

Traffic

Miriah Powell, 24, of 240 Whitney Road, No. 12, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving while license suspended Dec. 23 on the 900 block of South Rand Road. She also was cited with not having a front registration plate, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having suspended registration. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Feb. 3 court date.

Thomas M. Pfauter, 43, of 443 W. Wilson St., Apt. 112, Palatine, was charged with driving while license suspended Dec. 24 near Route 12 and Bailey Lane. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 20 court date.

Criminal Damage

A business owner reported Dec. 21 that someone broke a window on the front door of a business on the 500 block of Telser Road. Damage was estimated at $750.

An individual reported Dec. 24 that someone broke two windows and a neon sign on the 100 block of South Rand Road. Damage was estimated at $2,000. Police are investigating

An individual reported Dec. 25 that someone broke the driver-side window and windshield on two vehicles parked on the 300 block of East Highway 22. Damage was estimated at $500.

An individual reported Dec. 25 that someone damaged the driver-side window of a vehicle on the 300 block of East Highway 22. Damage was estimated at $200.
