Police Blotter: Vehicles Damaged on Main Street

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Oct. 11-14.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the . Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Theft

A business owner reported Oct. 13 that someone stole pipes and pipe holders from the grounds outside their business on the 1300 block of Rose Road. The loss was estimated at $450. Police are investigating.

Criminal Damage

An individual reported Oct. 10 that someone vandalized playground equipment at Manor Park, 5 Miller Road. Someone used a black marker to draw on the equipment. The cost to fix the equipment is estimated at $200. Police are investigating.

A man reported Oct. 12 that someone spray painted black paint over his license plate sticker while the vehicle was parked on the 100 block of West Main Street. Police are investigating.

A man reported Oct. 12 that someone threw a beer bottle at his car while it was parked on the 100 block of West Main Street. Police are investigating.

Assault

A man reported Oct. 12 that someone tried to punch him while he was walking to his vehicle on the 1000 block of East Rose Road. The suspect could not be located. Police are investigating.
