Police Blotter: Vehicles Damaged; Grill Stolen

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from March 20 to March 23.

Alcohol

Doreen M. Romano, 45, of 217 Foxfire Drive, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol March 21 on the 200 block of Foxfire Drive. She also was cited with driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, two counts of criminal damage to property and two counts of aggravated assault. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an April 2 court date.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A woman reported March 22 that someone entered her vehicle and stole her purse while the vehicle was parked on the 800 block of South Rand Road. The loss was estimated at $500.

Criminal Damage to Property

A man reported March 22 that someone damaged his vehicle while it was parked on the 200 block of South Rand Road. The estimated damage is unknown.

A woman reported March 22 that someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked on the 700 block of Highway 22. The estimated damage is unknown.

Theft

A resident reported March 22 that someone stole a grill from the 21000 block of West Highway 22. The loss was estimated at $1,060. Police are investigating.
