Police Blotter: Vehicle Stolen; Window Broken at Business

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes and arrests from Oct. 3-7.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the . Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Vehicle Theft

A woman reported Oct. 5 that someone stole her vehicle. She had last seen the vehicle on Oct. 3 on the 800 block of South Rand Road. The loss was estimated at $1,200. Police are investigating.

Alcohol

Przemyslaw Ogorzalek, 38, of 222 Greenwood Ave., Park Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 4 near Route 12 and Country Club. He also was cited with improper lane use. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 24 court date.

Christopher J. Painter, 44, of 8602 Dorr Road, Wonder Lake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 6 near Route 12 and Honey Lake Road. He also was cited with speeding. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 24 court date.

Traffic

Daniel T. Duhr, 30, of 19 Illinois Ave., Schaumburg, was charged with driving while license suspended Oct. 4 near Route 12 and June Terrace. He also was cited with having unsafe equipment, having suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on $300 cash bond pending an Oct. 21 court date.

Hugo Abrego, 30, of 990 Evanston, No. 9, Hoffman Estates, was charged with driving while license suspended Oct. 4 near Route 12 and Cuba Road. He also was cited with improper lane use. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 21 court date.
 
Jose L. Arriaga-Pedraza, 24, of 216 N. Pleasant Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license Oct. 5 near Route 22 and South Old Rand Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 2 court date.

Burglary

Aaric R. Dexter, 28, of 12 Johnathan Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with two counts of burglary Oct. 6. Police said Dexter allegedly broke a window at a closed business on the 700 block of North Old Rand Road and stole meat. Dexter also was charged with a similar burglary at the same business in December 2009, police said. He was held pending a bond hearing.

Disorderly Conduct

Two 16-year-old Lake Zurich boys were charged with disorderly conduct Oct. 6 after they were found in possession of drug paraphernalia. A police officer saw the two juveniles on the 800 block of South Rand Road while conducting a business check. Court action is pending.
