Police Blotter: Two People Charged with Serving Alcohol to a Minor

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Oct. 18-20.

Unlawful Sale of Alcohol

Laura L. Bowerman, 51, of 406 Concord Ave., Fox River Grove, was charged with unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor Oct. 17 on the 400 block of South Rand Road. The Lake Zurich Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and members of the Illinois State Police conducted liquor compliance checks on Oct. 13. Police said Bowerman sold alcohol to an underage informant and was arrested Oct. 17. She was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Kandi L. Smith, 24, of 25610 Midlothian Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor Oct. 17 on the 500 block on West Highway 22. The Lake Zurich Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and members of the Illinois State Police conducted liquor compliance checks on Oct. 13. Police said Smith sold alcohol to an underage informant and was arrested Oct. 17. She was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Traffic

Aaron J. Lindvall, 19, of 503 Prairie Lane, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving while license suspended Oct. 17 near South Buesching and South Old Rand Roads. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 7 court date.

Jesus F. Flores-Evangelista, 35, of 1533 North 15th Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with driving without a valid drivers license Oct. 17 on Rand Road south of Cuba Road. He was also cited or operating a vehicle with no valid safety sticker and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Emilio Muniz, 42, of 409 Fairlawn Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with driving while license suspended Oct. 19 on the 500 block of Telser Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Burglary

A business owner reported Oct. 18 that three male subjects took an unknown number of batteries without permission from a storage room from their business on the 800 block of South Rand Road. Police are investigating.
