Police Blotter: Traffic, DUI Arrests

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests from Feb. 29 to March 2.

Driving Under the Influence

Joshua Gorska, 32, of 5 S. Old Rand Road, No. 1, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol March 1 near North Old Rand Road and Route 12. He also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 26 court date.

April M. Oertel, 28, of 673 Pennsylvania Drive, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol March 1 near North Old Rand Road and Route 12. She also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and disobeying a traffic-control device. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 26 court date.

Traffic

Randall R. Bianchi, 21, of 1023 Partridge Lane, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving while license suspended March 1 near Route 22 and Ela Road. He also was cited with operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an April 9 court date.

Felipe DeJesus, 34, of 6B Dundee Quarters, No. 302, Palatine, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license Feb. 29 near Telser and Ensell roads. He also was cited with disobeying a traffic-control device and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an April 4 court date.

Roberto Sanchez-Plata, 33, of 100 Marlene Court, Wauconda, was charged with enhanced driving while license revoked Feb. 29 on the 300 block of South Rand Road. He also was cited with operating an uninsured vehicle. He was held to await a bond hearing.

Jennifer N. Hack, 27, of 1859 N. Cleveland, Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 28 near Route 12 and North Old Rand Road. She also was cited with operating a vehicle with expired registration. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an April 13 court date.
