Police Blotter: Tires Slashed; Backhoe Damaged

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Feb. 11 to Feb. 13.

These incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Traffic

Edilberto Echavarrieta, 31, of 131 E. Streamwood Blvd., Streamwood, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 11 near Rugby and Miller roads. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 7 court date.

Gheorghe Dobos, 62, of 3406 N. Natchez Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving while license revoked Feb. 10 near Route 12 and Golfview Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 7 court date.

Criminal Damage

A man reported Feb. 12 that someone punctured a tire on his vehicle while it was parked on the 100 block of East Main Street. The damage was estimated at $150. 

A man reported Feb. 10 that someone punctured the tires on his vehicle and damaged a door lock while the vehicle was parked on the 200 block of South Buesching Road. The damage was estimated at $750. Police are investigating. 

An individual reported Feb. 10 that someone poured an unidentified liquid into the gas tank of a Caterpillar backhoe while it was parked on the 100 block of Linden Road. Police are investigating

Theft

A woman reported Feb. 11 that someone stole items from her residence on the 200 block of Parkway Avenue. Police are investigating.
