Police Blotter: Stolen Sewer Covers, Texting While Driving

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Jan. 27 to Jan. 30.

These incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Traffic

Christopher S.J. Tarrant, 24, 657 Clover Road, Wauconda, was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle Jan. 28 in the 800 block of North Old Rand Road. He also was charged with operating a vehicle with an expired registration and driving with a suspended license. Tarrant was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Feb. 21 court date in Waukegan.

Frances L. Buerman, 42, 30W214 Briar Lane, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane use on Route 12 and Cuba Road on Jan. 29. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Waukegan court date Feb. 27.

Juan Parra-Hernandez, 32, 650 E. Liberty St., No. 102, Wauconda, surrendered at the Lake Zurich police station Jan. 29, after an investigation earlier that day regarding a hit-and-run at Route 12 and June Terrace. Parra-Hernandez was charged with improper lane use, failing to give information after striking property and driving with a suspended license. He was released after posting $150 pending a Mundelein court date Feb. 17.

Kyle K. Clark, 20, 33852 N. Fischer Road, Ingleside, was charged with texting while driving Jan. 30 on Buesching Road at Route 22. He also was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended license. Clark was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a March 7 court date in Mundelein.

Theft

An individual reported on Jan. 30 that six sewer covers in the 200 block of Hanbury Drive had been stolen. The person was unable to provide suspect information. Police are investigating.

Drugs

Nicholas A. Esposito, 22, 219 Center Road, Frankfort, was charged with possession of cannabis after being stopped by police in the 900 block of South Rand Road Jan. 29. He also was charged with operating a vehicle with one headlamp and operating an uninsured vehicle. Esposito was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and has a Feb. 17 court date in Mundelein.

Criminal Damage to Property

An individual reported on Jan. 27 that someone used a sharp object to scratch her vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of Church Street. Estimated damage is not known at this time. Police are investigating.
