Police Blotter: Stolen Beer; Warrant Arrest

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from July 13-15.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Traffic

Armando Garcia-Delgado, 31, of 681 Piper Lane, Apt. 3B, Prospect Heights, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license July 13 near Route 12 and Cuba Road. He also was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 5 court date.

Nicholas J. Dunski, 22, of 1113 W. Hayden Drive, Johnsburg, was charged with driving with a revoked driver’s license July 13 near Routes 12 and 22. He also was cited with having a defective windshield and having unsafe equipment. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 5 court date.

Vernon C. Dreher, 65, of 383 County Line Road, Barrington, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license July 15 near Routes 12 and 22. He also was cited with improper display of front license plate and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on $200 cash bond pending an Aug. 19 court date.

Warrant

Colin B. Steiger, 18, of 670 Red Bridge Road, Lake Zurich, was arrested July 13 at his residence on a $50,000 warrant for aggravated assault. He was held at the Lake Zurich Police Department to await a bond hearing.

Criminal Damage

A resident reported July 13 that someone damaged the windows of two of his vehicles by throwing bricks on them while the vehicles were parked on the 700 block of Rose Road. Damage was estimated at $700. Police are investigating.

An individual reported July 14 that someone damaged the glass on a vending machine on the 200 block of South Rand Road. Damage was estimated at $100. Police are investigating.

Burglary

A resident reported July 13 that someone entered his garage on the 600 block of Shallow Cove Road and stole beer. The loss was estimated at $10. The matter is pending investigation.

Theft

A woman reported July 14 that someone stole her bicycle from the 800 block of Summit Road. Police are investigating.
