Police Blotter: Solicitor Arrest

SOLICITOR ARREST

Michael D. Carruthers, 31, who resides at 1427 Lambert Street in Memphis, TN  was arrested for soliciting without a permit in the 600 block of Lions Drive in Lake Zurich.  Carruthers was selling magazines, according to Lake Zurich Police Commander David Bradstreet. Carruthers was charged with a local charge of Soliciting without a Permit.  Carruthers was issued a Mundelein court date of Oct. 5 and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond.     

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A business owner reported, on Sept. 12, that an unknown subject(s) broke out the windows to his business in the 900 block of Glencoe Terrace in Lake Zurich.  The estimated damage is unknown at this time.  This matter is pending investigation. 

TRAFFIC ARREST (DUI)                            

At 12:53 a.m., Sept. 13, Shawn A. Delorey, 55, who resides at 807 Buckingham Court in Danville, CA was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Cuba Road in Lake Zurich, IL 60047.  .  Delorey was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence with a B.A.C. over .08.  Delorey was issued a Waukegan court date of Oct. 1 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond. 

THEFT                                              

A complainant reported on Sept. 10 that someone removed the lock from a trailer parked in the 800 block of South Rand Road and took wire and tools.  The theft occurred over the weekend.  No evidence was recovered and no suspect information is available at this time.
