Police Blotter: Screws Placed Under Tires

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports a number of criminal damage incidents.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Several residents reported Oct. 24 that someone had placed screws under the tires of their vehicles, causing damage.

Lake Zurich Police said the incidents occurred on the 200 block of Whitney Road. The eight incidents resulted in damage estimated at $200 to $400 per incident.

A business owner also reported Oct. 24 that someone broke two windows at their business on the 200 block of Oakwood Road over the weekend. Damage was estimated at $700.

Police are investigating these incidents.
