Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Traffic Arrests

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests from Nov. 23-28.

Alcohol

Aneta J. Luberda, 36, of 241 W. Main St., No. 103, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 23 near Route 22 and Ela Road. She also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating a vehicle with no valid registration and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 9 court date.

Deborah J. Debaets, 39, of 706 W. Hickory Trail, McHenry, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 24 near Route 12 and Miller Road. She also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and improper lane use. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 9 court date.

Drug Paraphernalia

Ivan Rico, 20, of 657 Marine Drive, Wauconda, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 25 near Route 12 and June Terrace. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 6 court date.

Traffic

Octavio Galindo-Luna, 26, of 27724 Oak St., Island Lake, was charged with driving while license revoked Nov. 27 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He also was cited with improper lane use. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 6 court date.

Blanca E. Torres-Gonzalez, 50, of 104 Meadowdale Court, No. 102, Carpentersville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license Nov. 23 on the 200 block of South Rand Road. She also was cited with failure to wear a safety belt when required. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 6 court date.
 
Gabriel M. Rosas, 36, of 1419 Oxford St., Indianapolis, Ind., was charged with driving while license suspended Nov. 23 near Route 12 and Winnetka Terrace. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 7 court date.

Retail Theft

Elizabeth R. Morrison, 43, of 23669 Overhill Drive, Lake Zurich, was charged with retail theft Nov. 26 on the 500 block of South Rand Road. Police said she removed $469 worth of merchandise without paying for the items. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 20 court date.
