Police Blotter: Retail Theft and Damaged Car Windows

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

 

RETAIL THEFT                                           

Victor J. Miele, 31, who resides at 10280 Kenilworth Avenue in Algonquin, was arrested for retail theft at 675 N. Rand Road in Lake Zurich, Dec. 17.  Miele removed $49.99 worth merchandise without paying for the items.  Miele was charged with one count of Retail Theft.  Miele was issued a Mundelein court date of Feb. 1 and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond.

 

THEFT                                                                          

Police received a report that a mirror was removed from a vehicle in the 400 block of South Rand Road in Lake Zurich, Dec. 20.  The estimated loss is valued at $258 This matter is pending investigation. 

 

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY                                                      

On Dec. 20, someone damaged the rear window of a vehicle in the 500 block of Surryse Road in Lake Zurich.  The estimated loss is unknown at this time.  This matter is pending investigation. 

 

On Dec. 20 police took a report that someone damaged the rear window of a vehicle in the 700 block of Summit Road in Lake Zurich. The estimated loss is valued at $400.  This matter is pending investigation.

Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
