Police Blotter: Police Say Woman Filed False Crash Report

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT                  

On Jan. 25, at 5:06 p.m., Ann M. Cohen, 57, who resides at 9206 Carol Lane in Spring Grove, was arrested for attempted disorderly conduct at 900 S. Rand Road in Lake Zurich.  Cohen filed a false police report regarding her vehicle being involved in a traffic crash.  Cohen was charged with Attempted Disorderly Conduct – False Report.  Cohen was issued a Waukegan court date of Feb. 25 and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)

On Jan. 26, Jenifer E. Rosian, 42, who resides at 4405 E. Wonder Lake Drive in Wonder Lake, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at N. Old Rand Road.   Rosian was charged with Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Rosian was issued a Mundelein court date of March 1 and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.    

Joseph D. Noel, 33, who resides at 2118 S. Halsted 1st Floor in Chicago, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Bailey Lane, Jan. 26.  Noel was charged with Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Noel was also arrested on a warrant on Route 12 at Bailey Lane.   The warrant number is W13A1446 and is out of Lake County.  The bond amount is set at $30,000 and 10% applies.  Noel was unable to post the necessary cash bond and was held at the Lake Zurich Police Department to await a bond hearing.  

 

BURGLARY -- MOTOR VEHICLE                              

Police received a report on Jan. 28 that unknown subject(s) entered a man’s unlocked vehicle and removed his parking sticker while the vehicle was parked in the 200 block of South Buesching Road.  Loss estimated at $10.  This matter is pending further investigation. 

Police received a report on Jan. 28 that unknown subject(s) removed a woman’s purse from her vehicle after breaking a side window.  The vehicle was parked in the 700 block of South Rand Road.  Value of loss unavailable.  This matter is pending further investigation.  

On Jan. 28, a woman reported that someone removed her GPS unit from her vehicle after breaking a side window.  The vehicle was parked in the 600 block of North Rand Road.  Loss estimated at $400.  This matter is pending further investigation. 

 

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE                                       

On Jan. 28, someone broke the side window of a  vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 700 block of South Rand Road.  Complainant reported that nothing appeared to be missing from her vehicle.  This matter is pending further investigation.
