Police Blotter: Many Arrests for Driving Without a License

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

Traffic Arrest—Driving While License Revoked                    

On Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m., Michael D. Velasquez, 22, 472 Newberry Court, Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving while license is revoked on West Cuba Road at Warwick Lane.  Velasquez was charged with driving while driver’s license revoked, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bond, pending a court appearance in Waukegan on Oct. 18.

On Oct. 11, at 12:30 a.m., Lionel N. Romanzow, 59, 10406 South Komensky Avenue, #3N, Oak Lawn, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at June Terrace.  Romanzow was charged with improper lane usage and driving with a revoked driver’s license.  Romanzow was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Nov. 2.

Traffic Arrest-Driving While License Suspended                   

On Oct. 11, at 1:34 p.m., Frank R. Czajkowski, 44, 5026 Michigan Avenue, Schiller Park, was arrested for driving while drivers license is suspended on Route 22 at South Old Rand Road.  He was charged with driving while driver’s license is suspended.  He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond, pending an appearance in Mundelein Branch Court on Nov. 2. Czajkowski was also arrested on a Palatine Police Department arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of driving while license suspended.  He posted 10% of a $1,000 bond, and was released, pending a court appearance in Rolling Meadows on Nov. 26.

 

On Oct. 11, Corey G. Murry, 33, 117 Nahua Street, Park Forest,  was arrested for driving while drivers license is suspended on Route 12 at Wynstone Drive.  He was charged with driving while license suspended and wearing a headset receiver while driving.  He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond, pending a court appearance in Mundelein Branch Court on Nov. 2

 

Traffic Arrest (No Valid)             

Julie A. Clark, 47, no current address ,was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Rand Road, Oct. 9.  Clark was charged with operating a vehicle with no rear registration light, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving without a valid driver’s license.  Clark was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Nov. 2.

 

Criminal Damage                           

The complainant reported that someone defaced the fresh cement in the 1100 block of Stratford Lane, on Oct. 9.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information.

Theft                                     

On Oct. 9, a complainant reported a customer of Rental Max rented trucks on two separate occasions and failed to pay the rental fees.  On one occasion the customer secured the rental with the credit card of another.  This matter is under investigation. 

 

On Oct. 8, a complainant reported that someone removed his lock from his temporary locker in the 1000 block of Old McHenry Road while he was exercising.  The complainant reported his wallet missing from his locker.  Officers obtained suspect information.  This matter is under investigation. 

 

Forgery                                            

On Oct. 8, a complainant reported the owner of a business she intended to purchase altered the agreement without her authorization.  It is not clear where the incident occurred and the loss is $185.00.  This matter is under investigation.

 

 

Warrant Service                             

On Oct. 11, Ezequiel Garcia, 42, 201 South Buesching Road #204, Lake Zurich,  was arrested on a Lake County warrant for Criminal Damage to Property.  Garcia was unable to post 10% of the $10,000 bond, and was held pending a bond hearing in Waukegan.
