Police Blotter: Manhole Cover Stolen, Tires Punctured

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Possession  of Drug Paraphernalia        

At 1:51 a.m., Aug. 28, Benjamin S. Gellman, 28, 922 Coventry Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 22 at Route 12.  Gellman was charged with improper lane usage, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis.  Gellman was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 24.

Theft of Manhole Cover                                                    

On Aug. 29, a person reported an unknown subject(s) removed a manhole cover in the 500 block of Telser Road in Lake Zurich.  The estimated loss is valued at $200.  This is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest                              

Dorthy A. Kasiazczyk, 42, who resides at 78 Jefferson Lane in Streamwood, was arrested on a warrant, at 12:09 a.m., Aug. 29, on Route 12 at Cuba Road in Lake Zurich.  The warrant is out of Cook County for failure to appear on traffic charges.   The warrant number is W12M7488 and the bond amount was set at $25,000, which 10% applies.  Kasiazczyk was unable to post bond and was held at the Lake Zurich Police Department to await a bond hearing.

 

Traffic Arrest (DUI)                                  

Kimberly A. Fritz, 44, 878 Longboat Lane, Schaumburg,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Valentine Court, at 11:02 p.m., Aug. 30.  Fritz was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.  Fritz was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Oct. 1.

 

Criminal Damage, Broke Spigot                          

Police received a report that someone broke a water spigot in the 500 block of Telser Road during the overnight hours, Aug. 27.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

 

Criminal Damage, Punctured Tires                               

A person reported that someone punctured two tires on her vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 200 block of South Buesching Road, Aug. 27.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information.
