Police Blotter: Liquor Theft and Disorderly Conduct

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

THEFT  OF SIGNS                                           

A business owner reported, July 23, that someone removed two signs from the side of their business in the 500 block of Ela Road.  The loss is estimated at $370.  Further action pending.

RETAIL THEFT

Numerous bottles of alcohol were reported stolen from a business in the 300 block of South Rand Road, July 23.  Loss estimated at $1,020.  Further action pending.

 

TRAFFIC ARREST DUI                        

Nanci Mendoza Mondragon, 22, 930 Winnetka Terrace, Lake Zurich, was arrested for DUI pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Rand Road and North Old Rand, at 11:16 p.m., July 23.  Mondragon was stopped for failure to signal when required.  Mondragon failed field sobriety test.  Mondragon was charged with Failure to Signal When Required and DUI.  Mondragon was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending court in Waukegan August 20.

 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/POSSESSION OF CANNABIS                                 

At 12:41 a.m., July 24, Douglas W. Nelson, 24, 1221 Rodgers Ct. Lake Zurich, and Monica Metyka, 22, 1235 Pheasent Ridge , Lake Zurich, were arrested for disorderly conduct pursuant to a suspicious vehicle investigation in the 1200 block of Pheasant Ridge Drive.  Nelson and Metyka were arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Possession of Cannabis).  Both subjects were released on $120 personal recognizance bonds pending court in Mundelein Sept. 7.

 

 

TRAFFIC ARREST SUSPENDED         

On July 24, at 9:45 p.m., Robertas Rajuncas, 33, 166 Harbor Drive, Lake Barrington,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at South Old Rand Road.  Rajuncas was charged with operating a vehicle with no registration lamp and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Rajuncas was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Sept. 7.

 

WARRANT SERVICE                                      

Bozena B. Plucinski, 31, 6112 Tomlinson Drive McHenry, was arrested, July 25, in the 400 block of North Rand Road on a warrant issued by McHenry County for violating an order of protection.  Plucinski was transported to the jail in McHenry County to await a bond hearing.

 

BURGLARY                

A resident reported that unknown subject(s) removed personal papers from her residence in the 100 block of Park Street, July 26.  The value of the loss is unknown.  This matter is under investigation.
