Police Blotter: Inflatable Christmas Decorations Slashed, Traffic Arrests

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

 

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY                                

On Dec. 8, a resident reported someone damaged several of his inflatable Christmas decorations outside his home in the 500 block of Ripplebrook.  The decorations were cut with a sharp object.  Damage is estimated at $200.

 

WARRANT ARREST                                    

Ralph W. Jefferson, 51, who resides at 3333 W. Grand Avenue in Chicago, was arrested on a warrant on Route 12 at Route 22 in Lake Zurich, on Dec. 3.  The warrant is out of Champaign County for traffic offenses. The bond amount was set at $2,500.  Jefferson was unable to post bond and was held at the Lake Zurich Police Department to await a bond hearing.

TRAFFIC ARREST (NO VALID)                

On Dec. 3, Martina Juarez-Vega, 30, who resides at 1881 N. Green Lane #3A in Palatine,  was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license on Quentin Road at Highland Road in Lake Zurich.  Juarez-Vega was charged with Speeding and Driving with No Valid Driver’s License.  Juarez-Vega was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

 

On Dec. 3, Efren Guerrero-Cabal, 27, who resides at 357 Fremont Street in West Chicago,  was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license on Route 22 at Orchard Pond in Lake Zurich.  Guerrero-Cabal was charged with No Rear Registration Light and Driving with No Valid Driver’s License.  Guerrero-Cabal was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond

 

On Dec. 4, Jorge A. Gonzalez-Soto, 25, who resides at 18912 River Road in Marengo, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license on Route 12 at Route 22 in Lake Zurich.  Gonzalez-Soto was charged with Driving with No Valid Driver’s License.  Gonzalez-Soto was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)                                   

On Dec. 4, Brenden D. Ruck, 21, who resides at 125 Parkway in Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 22 at S. Old Rand Road in Lake Zurich, IL 60047.  Ruck was charged with Expired Registration and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Ruck was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond

 

On Dec. 5, Darius I. Holder, 21, who resides at 383 Meadow Green in Round Lake Beach, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at N. Old Rand Road in Lake Zurich.   Holder was charged with Failure to Wear Safety Belt and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Holder was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond

On Dec. 5, Deon D. Lee, 42 , who resides at 1427 E. Evergreen Drive #103 in Palatine, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Ela Road in Lake Zurich.   Lee was charged with Expired Registration and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Lee was issued a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond

 

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED                  

On Dec. 8, Rogelio Santoyo-Trejo, 34, who resides at 655 Deepwoods Drive #2J, Mundelein,  was arrested at Route 12 and Wynstone Drive for Driving While License Revoked.   Trejo was issued a citation for driving while license revoked and released pending a Mundelein branch court appearance.

Darius and Deon must be have manure for brains; everyone knows that when the cops take your license away, you got to wear your seatbelt and have current registration. Well done LZ police department!

Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
