Police Blotter: Hubcaps, Wheel Stolen, Vehicles Damaged

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Police received a report on Jan. 11 that someone removed the hubcaps from a vehicle during the overnight hours while the vehicle was parked in the 200 block of Alpine Drive.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

Police received a report, on Jan. 11,  that an unknown subject(s) removed the heated rear view mirror from a vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of North Avenue in Lake Zurich. The estimated loss is valued at $250.00.  This matter is pending further investigation.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Police received a report, Jan. 11, that an unknown subject(s) removed the wheel from a vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of Golfview Road in Lake Zurich.  The estimated loss is valued at $1,580.  This matter is pending further investigation.       

Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle                               

A resident reported on Jan. 11 that someone broke the windshield wipers and side mirrors on her van while the van was parked in the1000 block of Heather Lane.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

A resident reported an unknown subject(s) damaged the window on his vehicle while it was parked in the 800 block of Interlaken Drive in Lake Zurich.  The estimated damage is valued at $300.  This matter is pending further investigation.      

Traffic Arrest (DWLS)                              

On Jan. 11, at 11:45 p.m., Filemon  Cortes-Morales, 32, who resides at 650 Laurel Avenue in Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Miller Road in Lake Zurich.  Cortes-Morales was charged with Operation of Vehicle while Registration is Suspended and Driving While Driver’s is Suspended.  Cortes-Morales was issued a Mundelein court date of March 1 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

Traffic Arrest (NO VALID)                        

Irma Meja-Adame, 33, who resides at 1118 Pheasant Ridge Road was arrested for driving with a no valid driver’s license on S. Old Rand Road at Pheasant Ridge Road in Lake Zurich, Jan. 11, at 11:44 p.m..  Meja-Adame was charged with Expired Registration, Operation of an Uninsured Motor and Driving While Driver’s is No Valid.  Meja-Adame was issued a Mundelein court date of Feb. 1 and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond. 

On Jan. 12, at 2:08 a.m.Jose M. Dominguez, 23, who resides at 1330 Victoria Avenue in Chicago,  was arrested for driving with a no valid driver’s license on Route 12 at Rugby Road in Lake Zurich.  Dominguez was charged with Driving While Driver’s is No Valid.  Dominguez was issued a Mundelein court date of Feb. 1 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.
