Police Blotter: DUIs on New Years

TRAFFIC ARREST (DUI)

Jason S. Miller, 35, who resides at 12425 233rd Avenue in Trevor, WI was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Golfview Road. At 1:06 a.m., Jan. 1.  Miller was stopped for improper lane usage.  Miller failed field sobriety testing.  Miller was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Following Too Close, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving Under the Influence.  Miller was issued a Waukegan court date of Feb. 14 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

At 8:10 p.m., Jan. 1, Miguel A. Rodriguez, 27, 4939 Weber Dr., Rolling Meadows, was arrested for DUI pursuant to a traffic stop at Rt. 12 and Bailey Lane.  Rodriguez failed field sobriety tests.  Rodriguez was cited for DUI, DUI over .08, No Valid Driver’s License, Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Improper Lane Usage.  He was released after posting 10 percent of a  $3,000 cash bond, pending a court appearance in Waukegan on Feb. 4.

Rodriguez was also issued a warrant from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.  The warrant was for Failure to Appear on a DUI and other traffic charges.  Rodriguez was released upon posting 10 percent of a $5,000 bond, plus a $75 FTA fee, pending a court appearance in Wheaton

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS/ TRAFFIC  

At 1:06 p.m., Jan. 1, Cyntia Medrano, 18, 109 Pine Tree Row Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license pursuant to a traffic stop at North Old Rand Road and Pine Tree Row. She was also found to be in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.  Medrano was cited for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Speeding.   She was released on a $2,000 Personal Recognizance Bond, pending a court appearance in Waukegan on Feb. 24.

 

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)                         

On Dec.31, at 8:39 a.m., Julio A. Granillo Cervantes, 22, who resides at 310 Delaware Street in Carpentersville, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 22 at Route 12.  Granillo Cervantes was charged with Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Granillo Cervantes was issued a Mundelein court date of Feb. 1  and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
