Police Blotter: DUIs and Traffic Arrests

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

TRAFFIC ARREST (DUI)                                                       

Stephen A. Queen, 43, who resides at 21591 W. Highland Drive in Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving under the influence on Hwy 22 at E. Main Street in Lake Zurich, at 8:22 a.m., June 27.  Queen was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Queen was issued a Waukegan court date of Aug. 6 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

Jacquelyn D. Butler, 34, of 395 N. Tower Drive in Hainesville, was arrested for driving under the influence on Church Street at E. Main Street in Lake Zurich, at 4:39 p.m., June 27.  Butler was charged with Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid and Accident and Driving Under the Influence – Drugs.  Butler was issued a Waukegan court date of Aug. 6 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.  

Tadeusz Skowyra, 42, of 327 Country Club in Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Pheasant Ridge in Lake Zurich, at 10:10 p.m., June 27.  Skowyra was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Following Too Closely, Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor and Driving Under the Influence.   Skowyra was issued a Waukegan court date of July 23 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

TRAFFIC ARREST (NO VALID) 

Reyna G. Flores-Pineda, 22, of 947 E. Lilac Drive in Palatine, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license in the 400 block of Telser Road in Lake Zurich, at 6:38 a.m., June 25.  Flores-Pineda was charged with Failure to Yield-Private Drive and No Valid Driver’s License.  Flores-Pineda was issued a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

Marco A. Garcia, 36, who resides at 1711 Chariot Court in Mount Prospect, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license in the 300 block of Church Street in Lake Zurich, at 1:20 p.m., June 27.  Garcia was charged with Speeding and No Valid Driver’s License.  Garcia was issued a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)                        

 Robert P. Gillhooly, 31, who resides at 678 Yale Lane in Island Lake, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Ela Road in Lake Zurich, at 12:43 a.m., June 27.  Gillhooly was charged with Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Gillhooly was issued a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.
