Police Blotter: DUIs and Child Endangerment

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

DUI and Child Endangerment

Jessica N. Decker, 27, of 28 W. Hilltop, Johnsburg, was arrested at South Old Rand at Deer Path for DUI, June 8, at 12:16 p.m..  Decker was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, failure to secure child (under age 8) and endangering the life of a child.  She was processed and released with a pending court date of July 9 in Waukegan.

DUI

John A Montalbano, 45, 295 Hobblebush Drive, Lake Zurich ,was arrested for DUI during a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Rand Road, June 6, at 8:19 p.m.  Montalbano failed all field sobriety tests.  Montalbano was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign.  Montalbano was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of July 9.

Michael J. Solan, 51, 760 Kenmare Drive, Des Plaines, was arrested for DUI pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Quentin Road. Solan failed all field sobriety tests, June 6, at 11:29 p.m.  Solan was charged with speeding 30 MPH over, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a BAC over .08.  Solan was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of July 9.

Possession of Cannabis

Isaac D.J. Kuhn, 20, 1970 Berkeley Road Highland Park, was arrested for possession of cannabis during a traffic stop on Samantha Lane at Spencer Lane, June 5, at 10:50 p.m..  Kuhn’s vehicle smelled like burnt cannabis.  Kuhn was charged with operating a vehicle with expired registration and disorderly conduct (possession of cannabis).  Kuhn was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of July 6. 

 

Traffic Arrests

Molly J McGrath, 38, 241 West Main Street #305, Lake Zurich was arrested for driving while license suspended driving to a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Rand Road, June 6, at 10:03 p.m.  McGrath was charged with driving while registration suspended for non-insurance, uninsured vehicle, and driving while license suspended.  McGrath was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of July 6.

Isreal Castrejon, 28, 2218 West Nichols, Arlington Heights was arrested for driving while license revoked during a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Rand Road, June 6, at 6:27 p.m..  Castrejon was charged with driving while license revoked.  Castrejon was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of July 9.

Richard S. Janis, 64, 4441 Palma Place Skokie, was arrested for driving while license suspended during a traffic stop on Route 12 at Bailey Lane., at 4:20 p.m., June 5. Janis was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Janis was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of July 6.
