Police Blotter: DUI, No Valid Drivers License And Theft

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from June 7-10.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Matthew B. Carlson, 24, of 1 Elmwood Drive, Hawthorn Woods, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 8 near Ela Road and Route 12. He also was cited with driving with a BAC over .08 and obstructing the roadway. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 18 court date.

Traffic

Edgar Beltran, 27, of 1193 N. Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake Beach, was charged with not having a valid driver’s license June 8 near Route 12 and Wooded Ridge Drive. He also was cited with operating an unsafe vehicle. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 1 court date.

Theft

An individual reported that an unknown person stole a computer valued at $500 from a business on the 1000 block of Old McHenry Road. Police are investigating the matter.
