Police Blotter: DUI, Driving While License Suspended

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and an under-investigation battery incident from June 23-27.

The Lake Zurich Police Department listed these incidents among its official reports. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Juan J. Bailon, 45, of 19709 Schweitzer Road, Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 22 near Route 12 and Cuba Road. He also was cited with improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 18 court date.

Tayler M. Baehring, 21, of 26385 West Grand Ave., Ingleside, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 23 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 25 court date.

Alfredo Luna, 49, of 5411 U.S. Highway 12, Richmond, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 25 near Route 12 and Old McHenry Road. He also was cited with speeding, improper lane usage and driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 18 court date.

Deborah M. Massa, 49, of 5048 West Jarvis, Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 26 on the 700 block of West Highway 22. She also was cited with improper lane usage, illegal squealing of tires, operating a vehicle with no rear registration light, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 1 court date.

Drugs

Brendann M. Boley, 20, of 42 Johnathan Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia June 24 near Whitney Road and Route 22. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 25 court date.

Traffic

Eric A. Houlihan, 21, of 15 Arrowood Drive, Hawthorn Woods, was charged with driving on a suspended license June 23 near Route 12 and Paulus Park. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 5 court date.

Luis A. Cabrera, 31, of 299 Windridge Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with driving with no valid driver’s license June 23 near Church and East Main streets. He also was cited with speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 15 court date.

Carlos Arellano, 37, of 1523 North Ave., Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving on a suspended license June 24 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He also was cited with operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 5 court date.

Battery

An individual reported June 25 that someone in a silver vehicle shot a pellet gun toward a group of people on the 500 block of Old Mill Grove Road. Three individuals were struck by the pellets, but no injuries were reported. Police are investigating.
