Police Blotter: DUI Arrests; Vehicles Burglarized

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Dec. 31 through Jan. 4.

DUI

Phillip R. Striegel, 23, of 37594 Tyrone Place, Spring Grove, was charged with driving under the influence Dec. 30 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He also was cited with improper lane use, not having valid registration and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 30 court date.

Timothy L. Brewer, 36, of 28609 Wagon Trail, Lakemoor, was charged with driving under the influence Dec. 31 near Route 12 and Honey Lake Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Feb. 6 court date.

Miguel A. Martinez, 54, of 159 Pine Tree Row, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence Dec. 31 near Route 12 and Golfview Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and driving while license revoked. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 30 court date.

Bernabe Duran-Trevino, 35, of 1772 Rose Unit 1A, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence Jan. 1 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and driving while license suspended. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 23 court date.

Aleksandr M. Vladimirskiy, 24, of 1095 Miller Lane Apt. No. 204, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence Jan. 1 near Route 12 and South Old Rand Road. He also was cited with improper lane use, disobeying a traffic-control device, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 30 court date.

Retail Theft

A 17-year-old Hoffman Estates boy was charged with retail theft Dec. 31 on the 300 block of South Rand Road. Police said he took a $12 bottle of vodka. Court action is pending.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A woman reported Jan. 2 that someone stole prescription pills valued at $10 from her vehicle while it was parked on the 600 block of North Rand Road. Police are investigating.

A woman reported Jan. 2 that someone smashed the window on her vehicle and took her purse while the vehicle was parked on the 500 block of Chesterfield Lane. Suspects have been identified.
