Police Blotter: Driving with Headset, Identity Theft

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

Traffic Arrest (Suspended)         

Victor A. Villanueva , 28, 32366 Allegheny Way, Lakemoor, was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 12 at Ela Road, April 30.  Villanueva was charged with operating a vehicle while wearing a headset and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Villanueva was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of June 7.

Nicholas J. Brusa, 20, 27942 West Lakeview Drive, Lake Barrington,  was arrested on Cuba Road at Lexington Lane, April 30.  Brusa was charged with operating a vehicle without a front registration plate and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Brusa was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of June 7.

Traffic Arrest (No Valid)                                 

Peter R. Tosto, 68, 6882 RFD in Long Grove, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license on Route 12 at June Terrace in Lake Zurich, May 2.  Tosto was charged with Driving with No Valid Driver’s License.  Tosto was issued a court date of June 7 in Mundelein and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

Identity Theft                                  

Jeffrey C. Perry , 47, 8333 South Indiana Avenue, Chicago,  was arrested for identity theft and illegal possession of a fraudulent driver’s license at 670 South Rand Road, April 30.  Perry was in custody pending a bond hearing. 

Criminal Damage                           

Police took a report, April 30, of damage to playground equipment in the 200 block of Old Mill Grove Road.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information.
