Police Blotter: Driving on Suspended License, Warrants Served

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

Theft                                                 

Police received a report on July 18 that an employee of Termax Corporation, 1155 Rose Road, Lake Zurich has stolen several boxes of wire since June 2012.  The complainant provided surveillance video.  This matter is under investigation.

Traffic Arrest (Suspended)

 Theresa L. Blakely, 27, 14510 Cottage Grove, Dolton, IL was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at June Terrace, 4:05 p.m., July 20.  Blakely was charged with failing to secure a child and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Blakely was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Sept. 7.

 

On July 19, at 6:44 a.m., Miguel Medrano, 37, 1315 North Baldwin Court #1A Palatine,  was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license pursuant to a traffic stop on Pine Avenue.  Medrano was charged with failing to signal when required and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Medrano was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3.

Alberto Jimenez, 36, 3402 Greenleaf Avenue Island Lake, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Rand Road, 11:49 a.m., July 19.  Jimenez was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Jimenez was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3

Michael R. Williamson, 24, 101 Sunset Drive #2E3, Cary,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop in the 20800 block of Quentin Road, at 6:23 a.m., July 18.  Williamson was charged with operating a vehicle with expired registration and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Williamson was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3.

Derrick O. Walker, 37, 1934 South 12th Avenue, Maywood, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop in the 900 block of South Rand Road, at 2:36 p.m., July 18.  Walker was charged with failing to wear a safety belt when required and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Walker was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3.

Traffic Arrest (No Valid)               

 Zachary T. Dunnell, 21, 14B Miller Road, Lake Zurich,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at North Old Rand Road.  Dunnell was charged with operating a vehicle with expired registration and driving without a valid driver’s license.  Dunnell was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Sept. 7

Criminal Damage/Trespass                      

A resident reported, on July 19, that unknown subject(s) entered her residence in the 100 block of Pine Avenue while she was out of town and damaged the residence.  Value of the damage is unknown.  Further action pending.  

Criminal Damage                                       

 Police took a report that an unknown subject(s) threw a baseball through the window of a vehicle during the evening hours, July 20, while the vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of Bayview Drive.  Damage estimated at $300.  Further action pending.    

Criminal Damage                    

 On July 18, a resident reported a damaged window in the 100 block of South Old Rand Road.  The damage was caused by a pellet or BB.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

Possession of Cannabis/Paraphernalia             

Eduardo Rico, 18, 886 Lexington Island Lake,  and a second subject, male juvenile, were arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia pursuant to a suspicious vehicle investigation at 755 South Rand Road, at 11:50 p.m., July 19.  Rico’s vehicle smelled like burnt cannabis.  Rico was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Rico was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 20.  The juvenile was released to a parent with court action pending.

Warrant Service                           

 Patrick J. McPartlan, 18, 550 Riley Lane, Lake Zurich surrendered himself at the Lake Zurich police station on a theft warrant issued by Lake County, on July 18.  McPartlan was released after posting $500.  McPartlan has a court date of Aug. 1 in Waukegan.  

Johnathan S. Wood, 25, 240 Whitney Road, #22, Lake Zurich, IL was arrested at 240 Whitney Road, #22 for violation of an order of protection, on July 17.   Wood was transported to the McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
