Police Blotter: Damaged Vehicles, Child Left in Car

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

Theft (Retail)                                    

On Jan. 17, Maria Munoz-Gonzalez, 30, 1756 North Rose Avenue, Palatine, was arrested for retail theft at 675 North Rand Road.  Munoz-Gonzalez was charged with retail theft and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Feb. 4.  

On Jan. 16, Rachel R. Edwards,18, 847 Niagara Drive, Volo, IL was arrested for retail theft at 675 North Rand Road.  Edwards was charged with retail theft.  Edwards remains in custody pending a bond hearing later today. 

Traffic Arrest (Suspended)      

On Jan. 15, Kristopher W. Webster (34 yoa), 21283 West Shady Lane, Lake Zurich, was arrested pursuant to a motorist assist on Quentin Road at East Cuba Road.  Webster was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Webster was released after posting $150 with a Mundelein court date of Feb.1. 

On Jan. 16, Victor H. Perez-Jimenez, 23, 208 West Church Street, Wauconda, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at South Old Rand Road.  Perez-Jimenez was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Perez-Jimenez was released after posting $150 with a Mundelein court date of March 1. 

Traffic Arrest (Revoked)                       

On Jan. 16, Joshua L. Hines, 30, 920 North Sterling Avenue, #215, Palatine,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Pheasant Ridge Road.  Hines was charged with disobeying a traffic control device and driving with a revoked driver’s license.  Hines was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Feb. 1. 

Burglary – Motor Vehicle                    

Police received a report on Jan. 16  that someone removed an ignition module from inside a vehicle during the overnight hours while the vehicle was parked in the 200 block of South Buesching Road.  The complainant provided possible suspect information.  This matter is under investigation. 

Criminal Damage                               

On Jan. 16, police received a report that someone broke the side mirrors on a van during the overnight hours while the van was parked in the 400 block of Rose Road.

Police received a second report that someone broke the side mirror on a van during the overnight hours while the van was parked in the 400 block of  Rose Road.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

Endangering a Child                      

John L. Monaco, 37, 21 Riderwood Road, North Barrington, was arrested and charged with endangering the life/health of a child after he left a young child unattended in a parked vehicle in the 600 block of South Rand Road, at 12:56 p.m., Jan. 14.  Monaco was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Jan. 28.

Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
