Police Blotter: Criminal Damage; Stolen Vodka

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from July 29 to Aug. 1.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Burglary

A woman reported July 29 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the 900 block of Heartwood Lane. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. Police are investigating.

Identity Theft

A man reported July 29 that someone used his personal information to order $484 worth of cellular telephones and service without permission. Police are investigating.

Retail Theft

A business owner reported July 30 that someone stole six small bottles of vodka valued at $7 from a business on the 1100 block of South Old Rand Road. Police are investigating.

Theft

A man reported July 30 that someone stole his cellular telephone while he was on the 600 block of South Rand Road. The phone was valued at $300. Police are investigating.

Criminal Damage

A woman reported Aug. 1 that someone kicked her apartment door on the 200 block of South Buesching Road. Damage was estimated at $500. Police are investigating.
