Police Blotter: Cannabis Possession, Criminal Trespass Arrest

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS                         

Dmitry Grinman, 28, who resides at 370 W. Birchwood Avenue in Palatine, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis in the 700 block of Rose Road, at 9:50 p.m., July 15.  Grinman was a located as a suspicious vehicle.  Grinman was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (29.6 grams).  Grinman was issued a Waukegan court date of Aug. 15 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

 

BURGLARY-MOTOR VEHICLE                   

Police took a report that an unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Hobblebush Dive during the overnight hours, July 13, and removed a camera, a calculator, a telephone charger, a GPS unit, a flashlight, keys, a knife, an I-Pass and a box of scrap wire.  The loss is estimated at $460.  Further action pending. 

 A person complained that on July 16, at 5:49 p.m., someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Chesterfield Lane during the overnight hours and removed an iPod charger, a Bluetooth speaker and a USB connector.  Loss is estimated at $140.  Further action pending.  

 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS                                

Jasmine M. Drane, 21, 1855 North Green Lane #2A Palatine, was arrested for trespass pursuant to a criminal damage to property report at 201 South Buesching Road, at 4:05 p.m., July 13.  Drane was charged with criminal trespass to property and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 20.  

 

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)                                 

 Marco A. Ruiz-Campos, 25, who resides at 1614 Grove Drive in Round Lake Beach, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Miller Road, at 2:38 a.m., July 15.  Ruiz-Campos was stopped for improper lane usage.  Ruiz-Campos was charged with Improper Lane Usage and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Ruiz-Campos was issued a Mundelein court date of Aug. 3 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
