Police Blotter: Camaro Stolen, DUIs

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

THEFT OF VEHICLE        

Police responded to a report on Aug. 13, that someone stole a 1998 Camaro SS  from the 800 block of Pheasant Ridge Road.  The estimated loss is unknown at this time.  This matter is pending investigation.  

TRAFFIC ARRESTS (DUIs)                                      08-15-12 @ 2234 Hours

At 10:34 p.m., Aug. 15, David R. Ganfield, 52, 357 Hirst Court Lake Bluff, was arrested for DUI pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 22 at Quentin Road.  Ganfield refused all field sobriety.  Ganfield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle.  Ganfield was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 10.

At 4:06 a.m., Aug. 12, Volodymyr Borshchovskyy, 37, who resides at 1N547 Forest Avenue in Glen Ellyn, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Ela Road.  Borshchovskyy was stopped for improper lane usage.  Borshchovskyy failed field sobriety testing.  Borshchovskyy was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Signal When Required, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving Under the Influence.  Borshchovskyy was issued a Waukegan court date of Sept. 10 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

WARRANT SERVICE               

Antonio J. Sciara, 23, 6323 Longford Drive McHenry, was arrested, Aug. 15, in the 200 block of South Rand Road on an aggravated battery warrant issued by McHenry County.  Sciara was released to a Lakemoor police officer after he was unable to post bond.
