Police Blotter: Burglary, DUI and Property Damage

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

 

Burglary – Motor Vehicle

The complainant reported on Oct. 24 that someone entered his unlocked vehicle between Oct. 19-20 and removed his computer and a cup full of coins.  The burglary was in the 700 block of Columbine Court.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information.

Burglary - Residence             

The complainant reported that someone stole a necklace and USC from his residence in the 100 block of Johnathan Road, Oct. 24.  The victim provided suspect information.  Entry to the residence was not forced.  This matter is under investigation.  

 

Traffic Arrest DUI                               

Chris A. Arbisi, 26, who resides at 7403 Woodward #207 in Woodridge,  was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Cuba Road at 10:30 p.m., Oct. 27.  Arbisi was stopped for improper lane usage.  Arbisi failed field sobriety testing.  Arbisi was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Notify the S.O.S. on Address Change, Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence with a B.A.C. over .08.  Arbisi was issued a Waukegan court date of Nov. 26 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond. 

Driving While License Revoked                   

Ramiro Martinez-Mota, 37, who resides at 981 Tulip Way in Palatine, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is revoked on S. Rand Road at June Terrace at 9:19 p.m., Oct. 27.  Martinez-Mota was stopped for no rear registration light.  Martinez-Mota was charged with No Rear Registration Light and Driving While Driver’s License is Revoked. Martinez-Mota was issued a Mundelein court date of Dec. 7 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

Traffic Arrest (Suspended)     

Paul T. Proano, 28, 1445 Sage Drive, Bolingbrook,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at South Old Rand Road, Oct. 24.  Proano was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Proano was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  Mundelein court date is unknown.  

Mailboxes Damaged                                                  

A resident reported on Oct. 27 that someone damaged her mailbox in the 300 block of Victor Lane.  The estimated damage is valued at $50.00.  This matter is pending investigation.  

A resident reported on Oct. 27 that someon damaged his mailbox in the 1300 block of Lea Lane.  The estimated damage is valued at $50.00.  This matter is pending investigation.  

Criminal Damage                   

The complainant reported a lock damaged on a storage container located on the beach in the 100 block of North Old Rand Road, on Oct. 23.  Officers were unable to determine if anything was removed from the storage container.  No suspect information is available.   

Criminal Damage                               

While on patrol, Oct. 23,  an officer discovered a broken window on the door to at 35 West Main Street.  No entry was gained to the unoccupied building.  No suspect information is available. 

Theft of Services                   

A complainant reported that a subject left their business in the 100 block of S. Rand Road and refused to pay for services she received, on Oct. 27.  The estimated loss is valued at $55.00.  This matter is pending investigation.
