Police Blotter: Burglary and Disorderly Conduct

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Burglary 

On Nov. 25, a resident reported that someone forced entry into their residence in the 200 block of Whitney Road and removed jewelry. The estimated loss is unknown at this time. This matter is pending investigation.

Disorderly Conduct

Daniel L McGuiness, 24, 721 Deerchase Road, Lake Zurich, was arrested for disorderly conduct pursuant to a traffic stop on Buesching Road at Route 22, Nov. 27. McGuiness’ vehicle smelled like cannabis. McGuiness was charged with improper lane usage and local ordinance disorderly conduct. McGuiness was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4. 

Traffic Arrest (No Valid)

At 12:33 a.m., Nov. 28, Lazaro Sanchez, 32, 607 South Main Street Wauconda, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license pursuant to a traffic stop on Rand Road at Valentine Court. Sanchez was charged with driving without a driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Sanchez was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4.

No License and Texting While Driving

Natalia Rodriguez, 24, 660 E. Liberty Street, Wauconda, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Rand Road at Wynstone Drive, Nov. 28. Rodriguez was charged with driving without a driver’s license and texting while driving. Rodriguez was released on a $1,500.00 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Jan. 4. 

Traffic Arrest (DWLR)

Miguel A. Martinez, 54, who resides at 159 Pine Tree Row in Lake Zurich was arrested for driving while driver’s license is revoked on Route 12 at June Terrace, Nov. 25. A random registration check indicated the registered owner possessed a revoked driver’s license. Martinez was charged with Registration Suspended for Non-Insurance and Driving While Driver’s License is Revoked.

Martinez was issued a Waukegan court date of Dec. 3 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

 

Traffic Arrest (DWLS)

Cordero D. Bradley, 24, who resides at 1062 Inverrary Lane in Deerfield, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended at 200 Mohawk Trail, Nov. 25. Bradley was charged with Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended. Bradley was issued a Waukegan court date of Jan. 4 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

On Nov. 23, Jay C. Schroeder, 25, who resides at 134 N. Wynstone Drive, North Barrington, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended in the area of Rt 12 and Rt 22. Schroeder was stopped for failure to wear a safety belt. Schroeder was charged with Failure to Wear a Safety Belt and Driving While Driver’s License is suspended. Schroeder was issued a Mundelein court date of Dec. 7 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

Criminal Damage to Property

On Nov. 24, police received a report of a damaged a window at a business in the 200 block of Oakwood Road. The unknown subject(s) threw cement pieces at the window causing it to shatter. The estimated damage is valued at $500. This matter is pending investigation.
