Police Blotter: Bedding Stolen; Customers Not Charged for Store Merchandise

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Sept. 24-26.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the . Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Drugs

A 17-year-old Lake Zurich boy was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis Sept. 23 on the 500 block of Old Mill Grove Road. He also was cited with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Court action is pending.

Traffic

Alberto Martinez, 18, of 2508 Algonquin Road, No. 4, Rolling Meadows, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 25 near Routes 12 and 22. He also was cited with operating a vehicle with no valid registration. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 21 court date.

Celso Flores, 41, of 1386 Westchester Drive, Glendale Heights, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 25 on the 900 block of South Rand Road. Flores also was cited with operating a vehicle with no valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 21 court date.

Indalecio Delgado, 38, of 1750A W. Dennis Drive Unit 2B, Mount Prospect, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 25 near Route 22 and Old Mill Grove Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Retail Theft

Kristina A. Smith, 25, of 201 S. Buesching Road, No. 302, Lake Zurich, was charged with retail theft Sept. 24 on the 800 block of South Rand Road. Police said the store's loss-prevention team reported that Smith failed to charge customers for merchandise valued at more than $600. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 17 court date.

Susan W. Thornton, 51, of 1163 Kylemore Drive, Lake Zurich, was charged with retail theft Sept. 25 on the 500 block of South Rand Road. Police said Thornton removed miscellaneous bedding items without paying for the items. She was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 4 court date.

Warrant

Celso Flores, 41, of 1386 Westchester Drive, Glendale Heights, was arrested Sept. 25 on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear. Flores was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Criminal Damage

A man reported Sept. 23 that someone used a rock to break a window on one of his company vans while it was parked on the 900 block of Ensell Road. The damage was estimated at $150.
