Police Blotter: Arson; Decorations Damaged

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Jan. 7-9.

Criminal Damage to Property

An individual reported Jan. 8 that someone damaged a bench by pouring paint on it on the 100 block of Miller Road. Damage was estimated at $100.

An individual reported Jan. 8 that someone damaged outdoor furniture and Christmas lights on the 100 block of South Shore Lane. Damage was estimated at $840.

A resident reported Jan. 8 that someone damaged Christmas lights on the 200 block of Beaubien Court. Damage was estimated at $50.

A resident reported Jan. 8 that two males damaged two inflatable Christmas decorations on the 700 block of Interlaken Drive when they tried to drag the decorations to a dark sedan. Officers were unable to locate the offenders.

Theft

A resident reported Jan. 8 that someone stole a lawn ornament on the 100 block of North Lane. The item was valued at $80.

An individual reported Jan. 8 that someone stole a lawn ornament from the 200 block of Pine Tree Row. The item was valued at $150.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

An individual reported Jan. 6 that someone stole the stereo face and a set of jumper cables from a vehicle while it was parked on the 700 block of Harvest Drive. Officers found no signs of forced entry.

Arson

An individual reported Jan. 7 that someone used fire to damage the tire on a trailer parked on the 100 block of Butterfield Road.
