Police Blotter: Aggravated Assault, DUI Arrests

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Feb. 22-24.

Driving Under the Influence

Ruben Pena, 33, of 1931 Prairie Square, No. 113, Schaumburg, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 19 near June Terrace and Route 12. He also was cited with obstructing justice, possessing a fraudulent identification card, driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of open alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to signal when required. He was transported to Waukegan for a bond hearing.

Jason Agostinho, 36, of 727 S. Parkside Drive, Round Lake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 22 near Bailey Lane and Route 12. He also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane use. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 12 court date.

Mysa L. Wagdy, 25, of 515 Waterford Drive, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 22 on the 500 block of Waterford Drive. Wagdy also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and disobeying a traffic-control device. Wagdy was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 19 court date.

Warrant

Federico J. Chiquello, 24, of 236 Surrey Road, Wheeling, was arrested Feb. 23 on a Cook County warrant for traffic-related offenses. He was held at the Lake Zurich Police Department to await a bond hearing.

Aggravated Assault

James E. Kramer, 53, of 335 Stillwell Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with aggravated assault Feb. 24 on the 400 block of Ela Road after he allegedly threatened a co-worker with a knife and shovel during an argument. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 19 court date.

Theft

An individual reported Feb. 16 that someone stole curb grates off the streets in the 500 block of Telser Road. The loss was estimated at $1,400. Police are investigating. 

Criminal Damage    

An individual reported Feb. 21 that someone damaged two windows with a pellet gun on the 100 block of East Main Street. The damage was estimated at $3,500.
