Police arrest various motorists for driving under the influence, hear of a slapping and trespassing at a home

Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from October 29-November 4.

 Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Megan R. Stambaugh, 19, of 10 Rugby Rd., was arrested at 2:02 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, for driving under the influence of alcohol pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Ela Road, police reports said. Stambaugh failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage and unlawful transportation of open alcohol, according to police reports. Stambaugh was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Monday, Nov. 22, court date in Waukegan.

Kelly J. Snodgrass, 47, of 259 Moders Ave., Cary, was arrested at 11:38 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, for driving under the influence of alcohol pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 22 at Route 12, police reports said. Snodgrass failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, according to police reports. Snodgrass was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Monday, Dec. 6, court date in Waukegan.

Slapped Along Rand Road

A male reported at 5:50 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, that someone slapped him while he was in the area of the 500 block of S. Rand Road, police reports said. This matter is pending further investigation.     

Driving Without a Valid License

Ernesto NMI Sanchez, 26, 329 Slocum Lake, Wauconda, was arrested at 4:11 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, for driving with no valid driver's license on Route 12 at N. Old Rand Road, police reports said.  A random registration check indicated Sanchez possessed no valid driver's license and he was charged with driving with no valid driver's license, according to police reports. Sanchez was issued a Friday, Dec. 3, court date in Mundelein and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Christina E. Savino, 25, of 25 Deverell Drive, Barrington, was arrested at 2:24 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, on Route 12 at N. Old Road for driving under the influence of alcohol, police reports said. Savino was stopped for improper lane usage, failed field sobriety testing and was charged with improper lane usage, driving under the Influence and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.08, according to police reports. Savino was issued a Monday, Nov. 15, court date in Waukegan and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.   

Criminal Trespass

A woman reported at 10:27 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29, that someone entered her residence in the 1200 block of Whitehall Court and searched it, police reports said. Clothing in the closet was disturbed, however, it appears nothing was taken.
