Mundelein Jewelry Store Robbed Tuesday Morning
The store, P.K. Bennett Jewelers, is located on Butterfield Road.
P.K. Bennett Jewelers, a Mundelein jewelry store that said it would refund up to $150,000 in purchases based on snowfall totals, was robbed Tuesday, NBC Chicago reports.
The store, located at 742 S. Butterfield, was robbed around 7:15 a.m., according to NBC Chicago.
P.K. Bennett had planned to offer refunds on jewelry purchased between Nov. 29 and Dec. 24 if at least 3 inches of snow fell between midnight and noon on New Year's Day at O'Hare, according to the Daily Herald.
An insurance company the jewelry store worked with on the promotion, however, said just 1.1 inches of snow fell during that time period, meaning no refunds will be given, according to NBC Chicago.
