Lake Zurich: Six DUI Arrests Reported

Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich police department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI arrests                       

• Krzystof Kaplinski, 35, 5400 Astor Lane, #309, Rolling Meadows, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and improperly lane usage following an accident investigation on Route 12 and Ela Road, police said. The accident occurred on July 20. Kaplinski was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 19.

• Michael P. Miarnowski, 39, 525 Burnett Road, Island Lake, was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was stopped on Route 12 at Rugby Road on July 20, reports stated.  Miarnowski was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 9.

• Mayra K. Venancio, 24, 201 South Buesching Road #307, Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with blood alcohol content greater than .08 and two counts of endangering the life of a child, police said. Venancio was stopped in the 200 block of South Buesching Road. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 26.

• Dylan C. Santora, 20, 1400 Boro Lane, Mount Prospect, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08, improper lane usage and operating a vehicle with no rear registration plate light, police said. Santora was stopped at Route1 2 and Ela Road on July 20. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 19.

• Jose J. Mancilla was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, following too closely and driving with a suspended driver’s license, reports stated. He was stopped at Route 12 at Bailey Lane on July 20. Mancilla was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Aug. 19.

• Stephen Castle, 30, 183 Vantroba Drive, Glendale Heights, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on July 18, police said. He was stopped in the 800 block of South Rand Road. Castle was issued a court date of Aug. 19 in Waukegan and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.  

Burglary

Someone stole a cash register from a concession stand in the 100 block of South Rand Road on July 17, police said. The loss was estimated at $900, police reports stated.
