Lake Zurich Police: Retail Theft, Theft, DUI Arrests

Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich police department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Retail theft arrest
Henry J. Niemo, 32, of 214 Minerva Avenue, Wauconda, was charged with retail theft at 820 South Rand Road on June 30, police said. He is accused of taking $56.30 worth of merchandise without paying for it, reports stated. Niemo was released after posting $150.00 in cash and given a Waukegan court date of Aug. 5. He was also arrested on a DuPage County warrant for contempt of court. He posted $300 for bond.

Theft
Police said a woman reported money was taken from her wallet, which was in a locker in the 600 block of South Rand Road. The incident, reported on June 28, is under investigation.  

DUI Arrest
Krystal A. Curtis, 25, of 670 Nantucket Way, Island Lake, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Route 22 in Lake Zurich on June 29, police said. Curtis was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, reports stated. Curtis was issued a court date of Aug. 5 in Waukegan and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.  

DUI Arrest
Ryan P. Farrell, 23, of 202 N. Ronda Road, McHenry, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Ela Road in Lake Zurich, on June 29, police said. Farrell was charged with improper lane usage, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, police said. Farrell was issued a court date of Aug. 5 in Waukegan and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond
