Lake Zurich Police: Misdemeanor Arrests for Retail Theft, Unlawful Possession

Police release reports from the weekend of Sept. 21.

Unlawful possession

Adam J. Villarreal, 28, of 11 N. Circle Drive, Port Barrington, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and no rear registration light following a traffic stop on Route 12 at Pheasant Ridge Road on September 22, police said. Villarreal was issued a Mundelein court date of November 1 and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond.

Retail theft arrest

Megan E. Oates, 31, of 4335 Lombardy Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested for retail theft at 820 S. Rand Road in Lake Zurich, police said. Oates reportedly removed merchandise valued at $37.59 without paying for the items on September 21, police said. Oates was issued a Mundelein court date of October 1 and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond.
