Lake Zurich Police: Four DUI Arrests, Car Burglary, Drug Arrest

Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich Police Department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI

Ingrida Perminiene, 34, of 1323 E. Turtle Creek, Apt. E. Palatine, was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage on Aug. 11, police said.  Perminiene failed field sobriety tests after being stopped on Route 12 at S. Old Rand Road, reports stated. Perminiene was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a court date of Sept. 16 in the City of Waukegan. 

Car stereos stolen

Someone stole three car stereos, valued at $894, from a business in the 800 block of S. Rand Road on Aug. 11, police reports stated.

DUI, drug arrest

Zachary J. Amettis, 19, 9011 Shady Lane, Wonder Lake, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence–drugs, speeding, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Amettis was stopped on Route 12 at N. Old Rand Road on Aug. 10 and taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests, according to police. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a court date of Sept. 16 in Waukegan.

DUI arrest

Ryan Caruso, 24, 244 N. Brockway St., Palatine, was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage on Aug. 10, police said. He was stopped on Route 12 at Route 22. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond, reports stated.

Residential burglary

A victim told police someone has been removing cash from her home in the 1000 block of Westberry Court, police said. The estimated loss is unknown at this time and the report, filed on Aug. 9, is under investigation.

Bike stolen

Someone took a child bicycle from the rear of a building in the 100 block of E. Main Street on Aug. 8, reports stated. The bike was valued at $600.

DUI arrest

Rupal Patel Khurmi, 38, 4927 Thimbleweed Trail, Long Grove, was arrested for driving under the influence and endangering the life of a child, police reports stated. Khurmi was stopped at Route 12 and Ela Road on Aug. 7. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and given a Sept. 9 court date in Waukegan.
