Lake Zurich Police: DUI Arrests

Police reports for the week of September 30.

Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich Police Department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law. 

Traffic arrest, DUI

John M. Kirby, 61, of 411 North Avenue Barrington, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 800 block of South Rand Road on October 3, police said. Kirby was also charged with driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08, driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and failing to signal when required, reports stated. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date.

DUI arrest

Scott B. Johnson, 40, of 134 Main Street #3, Evanston, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Golfview Road on September 29, police said.  Johnson was charged with improper lane usage, following too closely, failure to signal and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to reports.  Johnson was issued a court date of October 28 in Waukegan and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
