Lake Zurich Police: Damage to Vehicle, Battery, DUI in Police Blotter

Police release reports from the weekend of Sept. 14.

Criminal damage to a vehicle

A man reported someone caused $2,000 worth of damage to his car by throwing rocks through the windows as it was parked in the 500 block of Applegate Lane in Lake Zurich on September 16, police said. The incident is under investigation.

Battery

A man told police a subject battered him by pushing shopping carts into him and taking a cell phone and throwing it at him, police said. The incident occurred in the 600 block of South Rand Road on September 14, according to reports.

DUI arrest

Pamela G. Brooks, 48, of 37 Johnathan Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on her street September 13, police said. Brooks showed signs of impairment during field sobriety testing, police said. Brooks was also charged with failing to dim headlights when required, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and failing to have a driver’s license on her person. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of October 10.
