Lake Zurich Police: Criminal Defacement, CDTP, Retail Theft, and Burglaries on Blotter

Criminal defacement
The complainant reported someone defaced the concession building and portable toilets in the 100 block of East Main Street on Sept. 13, police said. The incident is under investigation.

CDTP
Police are investigating a criminal damage to property report where someone cut the straps holding the fuel tank in place and took gasoline from it in the 200 block of Whitney Road on Sept. 13, reports stated.

Retail theft
Dalasini S. Cummings, 36, of 1520 Briarwood Circle, Crystal Lake, was arrested and charged with retail theft and criminal trespass at 820 South Rand Road on Sept. 10, police said. Cummings was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Oct. 21.
Residential burglary
A resident reported someone forced open a door to his residence in the 1000 block of South Rand Road and removed property on Sept. 10, police reports stated. The matter is under investigation.
Burglary
Copper tubing was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Linden Road on Sept. 9, police said. The theft is under investigation.
