Lake Zurich Police Blotter: Rash of Car Burglaries Reported

The following information was provided by the Lake Zurich police department. An arrest is merely an accusation and not a determination of guilty.

Suspended or Revoked License

Ludivina Gonzalez, 25, of Lake Zurich was charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license after a traffic stop Jan. 17 at 4:32 p.m. at 34 N. Old Rand road. Gonzalez also was charged with speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle.

DUI

William A. Langfeld, 55, of Lake Zurich was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, unlawful transportation of open alcohol, improper lane usage and unlawful possession of cannabis after a traffic stop on Deerpath Road Jan. 19 at 11:57 p.m.

Car Burglaries

An iPhone was taken from an unlocked vehicle Jan. 20 at 4:05 p.m. in the 700 block of W. Highway 22. The phone was valued at $600.

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 and took a GPS unit and loose coins. The vehicle was parked in the 500 block of Ripple Brook Court. Loss estimated at $150.

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 600 block of Cypress Bridge Road and took a briefcase, laptop computer and loose coins/

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 1300 block of Coral Reef Way and took two GPS units and loose coins.

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 1300 block of Coral Reef Way and took loose coins.

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 400 block of Newberry Court and took a laptop computer. Loss was estimated at $1,400.

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 1100 block of Wilkes Lane and took about $45.
