Battery

A man reported an unknown person punched him in the face after the victim hit the door of a car parked next to his on May 22 in the 800 block of South Rand Road, police said. The incident is under investigation.

Traffic Arrest (Fleeing/Eluding)

Kevin S. Kerbs, 19, of 2578 Savanna Drive, Wauconda and Alexis L. Sweig, 20, of 1823 Redwood Lane, McHenry, were arrested for fleeing and eluding a peace officer, police said. Officers responded to the area of Route 12 and Ela Road on May 19 for a report of two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed, according to reports. Officers located the motorcycles and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.  Both drivers failed to stop and fled the scene.  Officers were able to identify the drivers who were later located in Wauconda, reports stated.  Kerbs and Sweig were charged and later released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bonds with a Mundelein court date of July 12.

Criminal Damage to Property

Four street signs were broken in the area of Grand Avenue in Lake Zurich on May 18, according to reports. No damage estimate was available.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Someone entered a woman’s unlocked car and removed some keys in the 600 block of S. Rand Road on May 17, police said.

Criminal Damage to Property

Unknown subjects threw a rock at a woman’s car damaging the driver’s side mirror on May 18, police said. The car was parked in the 900 block of Interlaken Drive.
